Helicopter pilot Captain Robert Fore opened a doorway of terror when he found himself face to face with the most ancient, isolated and hostile tribe on the planet.

Thirty years on, Dennis Price reopens the passage with a fascinating interview, and one that is not for the squeamish.

The spiritualist and shamanic healer Dawn Bramadat opened a portal in the Orkneys with her mind, and ritual. What she discovered was both moving and ancient.

Robert Feather reminds us how common it was for the ancients to leverage drugs as a vehicle to opening doors that were otherwise invisible.

Consciousness visionary Anthony Peake tells us about an ancient piece of mythology that he calls ‘Cheating The Ferryman’.

Mindscape 3 Cover

Without our unique human consciousness, you and I would be sitting in a tree eating bananas.

The ability to think beyond the next banana is a gift. We’re all guilty of taking this gift for granted. The moments of sheer awe and elation we experience when we make this discovery or connection between elements of the mystery, balances out the less pleasant elements of consciousness.

One person who never stops making connections is Anthony Peake. An author and explorer in the largest, least discovered realm in the known universe: Peake’s work on Near Death Experiences and immortal consciousness make fascinating and provocative reading.

Mindscape has evolved and changed already, and now at issue 3 we are starting to find our feet and our voice. This is a truly independent magazine, a rare commodity these days, and a truly exciting prospect. Mindscape. There’s a whole universe in there.

Meet some of our Mindscape Contributors!

Lauretta Sela, Editor of Mindscape Magazine

Lauretta Sela

Lauretta is a newcomer to this field, who has spent years in her personal life searching for answers to the big questions that have yet to be found in their entirety… the biggest question being: What is the Meaning of Life? This has opened up a Pandora’s Box of more questions every step of the way, and continues to do so. This is something, that from a very early age, has been a constant area of questioning, leading her to a deeper curiosity, propelling her to a constant striving to further this ambition and quest for knowledge through experience. Her interests include metaphysics, delving deeper into consciousness and the mind/body/spirit connection, and energy and its relationship to consciousness, with psionics being a particular point of interest and how these two subjects intersect… Which has led to ever more questions, in particular: What does it mean to be human? Lauretta is married and has three young children. Lauretta has recently expanded her scope of interests, by recently being appointed as the new Editor for Mindscape Magazine, a role which will no doubt help her branch out into deeper levels of enquiry on her quest to possibly answering some of the BIG questions in life! Paranormal Magazine Issues

Paranormal Issue 65

We once again cast an eye over some of the lesser known aspects of the truly strange and frequently terrifying world that constitutes the supernatural. Vampires, inter-dimensional aliens, legal cases involving witchcraft and testimony from the dead, life in the spirit world and even a return to the notorious, demon haunted house at Amityville; it’s all here.

PARANORMAL COVER 65:Layout 1

Paranormal Issue 64

This article packed issue is really special as it’s the first edition of Paranormal in a new digital format and it has the same fantastic array of articles. As befits such an auspicious event, it contains new sections and ideas, including ‘Open Skies, Open Minds’, which is inspired by the close relationship between UFOs and the paranormal. This, our first foray into UFOlogy includes a fascinating real-life study of abduction and contact by Dave Hodrien and a truly remarkable article, ‘Doorways’ by Mike Mott.

On the ‘conventional’ paranormal front (if it’s possible to use that term) investigator Steve Mera contributes another item from his casebook, this time about the alarming events that took place in a normal everyday council house. Richard Freeman contributes a really enigmatic and bone-chilling piece, ‘The Spider God’ which concerns Tulpas and describes what occurred when he literally ‘thought’ a giant spider into existence, while Terry Stocks contributes an article about exorcism and what it might really entail.

In ‘The Black Art’, Steven Wakefield examines the possibility that magick might be only too real and Don Phillips presents some astonishing pictorial evidence that Portals are very much a reality. This edition also includes a new book and DVD review section, something that you, the readers, have requested, we listened and here it is. Easy to say, but the magazine just goes from strength to strength, so get aboard and enjoy the journey.

Paranormal Issue 63

This edition consisting of 24 articles, opens with regulars Lionel and Patricia Fanthorpe looking into the reality of spells and curses while the multi-talented Richard T Cole takes a reasoned look at the notorious Victorian eccentric and magician Aleister Crowley. Dave Sadler and Kirst D’Raven look at the ancient natural formation of ‘Luds Church’ and dig into its magical past, and Mike Ganley examines one of the most remarkable aspects of mediumship; the ability of spirits to transform the physical appearance of the medium – something that has to be seen to be believed.

Darren Ritson investigates claims of haunting at ‘The Fusilier Pub’ and in ‘ET’s. In Saints and Devils, Alan James evaluates claims that there is little or no difference between them. We also find Susie Kearlie taking a stroll through the caves that form Sir Francis Dashwood’s Hellfire Club and the magazine ends with Steven Tucker taking a look at claims that witchcraft has been used to influence the outcome of football matches. All this and much, much more.

Paranormal Issue 62

This article packed issue contains the final chilling part of Mike Hallowell’s investigation, ‘The Ruler of The Roost’ describing what occurred when an ancient evil attached itself to a young family. We also read the second part of Steve Mera’s investigation of the unearthly Morecambe Succubus and Sean Robinson asks the question, could a picture actually contain the essence of a tortured soul?

Lionel and Patricia Fanthorpe visit the reputedly haunted Skirrid Inn to see if it lives up to its ghostly reputation and Paranormal regular Dan Green introduces the rather alarming prospect that the human race has not yet stopped evolving and introduces the unlikely concept that autism might be another element in this process.

Another regular contributor, Mike Oram shares his experiences when he first encountered the ‘beings of light’ that have become his friends and Canadian contributor Andrew Hind tells of a little know secret society ‘The Knights of The Golden Circle’ that existed in 19th century America. Lastly, we dig a little further into the background of the fearsome history of ‘The Lady in Black’.

Paranormal Issue 61

In this edition, we find part one of ‘The Ruler of The Roost’, a truly terrifying encounter between Mike Hallowell and a treacherous nature spirit called a ‘Boggart’. This malignant entity was inflicting itself on a young family in the south-east of England and it was not going to leave quietly.

Dan Green investigates the possibility that all forms of divination may have a fundamental truth at their core, while Alan James looks into the possibility that particle physics might reveal considerably more about the paranormal than might at first appear, something that physicists are only now coming to realise.

The ever-reliable Mike Oram shares yet another unearthly encounter, this time with ‘The Great Serpent of Upminster’ and we embark on the first part of a two-part tale from Steve Mera involving a Succubus infestation in the unlikely setting of Morecambe. John Pickering shows that spirit photography might be a very genuine phenomenon, and lastly, internationally renowned researchers and authors Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince show that the paranormal cheerfully continues to manifest despite the best efforts and denials of people like Richard Dawkins.

Paranormal Issue 60

This edition of the magazine includes an article by Lionel and Patricia Fanthorpe on the ever enigmatic village of Rennes le Château and an account by the late Stephen Hodge of an experiment in global consciousness, and Karl Shuker supplies details of flesh-eating entities from ancient Japan. We also encounter powerful evidence for the phenomenon of ‘apports’, where anomalous objects spontaneously appear at séances etc. and the possibility that buildings have the facility to absorb and somehow store events that occurred within their walls.

Tim Colman shows that there are valid experiments afoot apparently indicating that we do indeed pass over into a different form of ‘life’ after the physical body dies. Steve Mera casts some light on truly alarming events in Anglesey and Mike Oram tells of a childhood woodland encounter with the legendary ‘Old Hag’ while Bob Andrews recounts a lengthy conversation with something that defined itself as an ET. It was quite a conversation! This couple of paragraphs can only serve as the merest taster for the remarkable and sometimes nerve-shredding true-life accounts set out in the magazine.

Paranormal Issue 59

In this issue of Paranormal Magazine, new contributor Angus Huck evaluates the claims made by psychic Chris Robinson, that he can ‘dream the future’, and his findings should open a few eyes.

As always poltergeists make unnerving yet almost addictive reading and in this issue, we look at the astonishing and alarming case of the South Shields Poltergeist, and new columnist Stephen Hodge casts an academic, if slightly irreverent, eye over recent claims that we can actually sense the future.

Archie Lawrie presents the poignant tale of a long dead miner who still fought to free himself from the disaster that killed him. Andy Owens considers the possibility that some sort of tangible ‘energy’ creates and controls the conditions that permit some kinds of apparitions function.

Stephen Wakefield presents a thoughtful and detailed look at how the concept of demonic entities gradually evolved and developed from the earliest days of the human race.

With another example of our never-ending fascination with the poltergeist, why does this phenomenon always attract such attention? Darren Ritson and Mike Hallowell examine one recent case, and so much more!

PARANORMAL COVER 59_FINAL

Paranormal Issue 58

In this latest edition of Paranormal Magazine, we cover quite a range of subjects, including the remarkable Woodchester Mansion case. This was possibly one of the most disturbing and terrifying examples ever of a paranormal encounter simultaneously experienced by a diverse group of people. The use of the definition ‘paranormal’ has been used here rather than ‘haunting’ or ‘ghostly manifestation’, because it best covers a wide range of phenomena that, although they have obvious ghostly overtones, do not sit precisely in either camp.

Thomas Sheridan asks us to consider the all too plausible possibility that psychopaths just might be demonically possessed. Are the random and frequently chilling acts committed by these individuals, the actions of a mentally unstable sociopath or is there something much more profound behind them? Are their bodies and those of notorious historical figures like Gilles de Rais actually overtaken by some malicious supernatural force?

On another enigmatic note, Dan Green brings yet another curious ‘crossover’ tale from that most enigmatic of locations, Rennes le Château. This leads to a serious point: these ‘crossover’ tales traverse a very narrow margin between hardcore supernatural events and Ufology, are the insights and thoughts of the respected researchers John A Keel and Jacques Vallee valid?

Paranormal Issue 57

In this issue we discover the life and times of the man who created Dracula, the most terrifying and charismatic creation ever to grace the world of fiction

We also discover what happened to Andrew Gough when he was temporarily locked inside the tomb of Akhenaten and was ‘possessed’ by an ancient entity.

Andrew Hennessey reveals that demons have been with us since the beginning of time, the problem is that for the most part we just don’t see them.

Denis Price gives an account of his paranormal encounters when he investigated two hauntings in the beautiful country of Greece.

There have been many amazing and talented mystics and psychics. In this article Martin Faulks introduces us to Franz Bardon, one who seems to have slipped through the net.

President Nick Kyle gives a first-hand account of his experiences of The Scole Experiment, one of the most famous attempts ever to prove the existence of the afterlife.

Clinical psychologist Peter McCue presents his take on the effectiveness of various kinds of mediumship and mediums.

Poltergeists are probably one of the most alarming examples of paranormal phenomena that can befall a human being. In this article, John Vaux looks at the reality of poltergeists by way of the film, ‘The Exorcist’, and much else besides.
